also – good news that American Field Sporting has allowed us to test out the new rule changes for the 2022 season. They are as follow:

1: Two previews instead of one. We are not able to ensure the descriptions are accurate and fair at every AFS competition, so we are adding a second preview of each target shown. The way it will work is when the shooter calls pull the first preview will be thrown and when it hit the ground the field judge will call pull and throw the second target. We don’t want to slow the game down with excessive strategizing between the two previews.

2: Previews will be shown from Station One on the Red Field. instead of previewing at station five we will preview at station one and then begin shooting.

3: On the White Field, the center most hoop will become station one and previews will be shown here and no longer at station two or three. The typical placement of the outer stations is less than the distance between stations on the red field and previews at each station is slowing the white field down.

4: You may now load two on the one shot single, as that was confusing to people this year. But – If you make it go bang twice – lost bird. 100% on the shooter now with this one.

A reminder regarding this weekends event at Waunakee – it is in fact a 20 ga and 12ga event! When we were awarded the south zone it pushed one of our little gun shoots. The shoot in July with be a 28ga and 410 bore combined little gun shoot with a 12ga true pair event. Weather looks decent and we look forward to seeing everyone.

Thanks to all that have signed up so far!
We have a few people that have noted requested people for sqaudding that haven’t signed up at this time – if more people signup in those times (11:40) we wil start to fill them as first come first serve.

Weather looks good this weekend for the 12+20 ga as well – we have a mystery target setter coming in to help out – stay tuned.

The Shoot Registration will go Live at 12:01AM on May 1, 2021
    ScoreChaser

We have 6 person squads at 10 minute intervals with a short break at 11:30 to catch up on trap filling or alleviate any congestion.

We have added an “Amenity” option in the registration. This is if you will be attending the State Shoot. The Class and Concurrent Winners of the South Zone Shoot will represent at the shoot off on Friday Night at Coyland. So, if a winning shooter/score for the class or concurrent is not going to attend – we will go down the list of State attendees for the shooter that will represent the South Zone that night in the shoot-off.

$10 Lewis winners will be paid based upon the following Standard ScoreChaser scale:

    Entrants——-#Classes———-#Places——-Split
    1-20—————2—————–1———-100%
    21-50————–2—————–2———-60/40
    51-80————–3—————–2———-60/40
    81-120————-4—————–2———-60/40
    121-150————4—————–3———-50/30/20
    151+—————5—————–2———-60/40

    Ties will divide.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Waunakee in a few weeks!

May 1. Squading will be “tee time” as has been in use at Waukesha and Wern.

Agree that it wasn’t signed-up/registered online – but they could have still posted pdf results as the days events are completed.

Can you guys explain your squadding and setup thoughts for this event? The way we are seeing this on Scorechaser, there will be no one shooting at one of the clubs each day during the “rotations” either in the morning or the afternoon. (Start at Waukesha, finish at Wern, start at Wern finish at Waukesha.)

Previous years, I thought that there was a choice to start at either Waukesha or Wern, then the drive to the other club and shoot the second hundred. As setup right now, we are all suggested to start at a single/defined club.

I just would have thought that it would have followed like past years as during those we did a similarly defined start times to avoid the backups like you have squadded now.

This is similar to the setup for the 200 – we have to shoot Wern first then Waukesha. ( so no one is shooting Waukesha in the morning concurrently with the Wern squads)

    Thanks
